❤ The Ships Are Sailing! ❤ Valentine’s Day: #top5

It’s nearly Valentine’s day and you know what that means?? Yes, today I have compiled a list of my top five ships! I’ve seen this around today, and I’ve loved reading every single one of them. I’m going to integrate a few things I’ve seen from other bloggers! Not only will I be sharing my top five pairings I’ll also share with you one of my favourite romantic quotes from the pairs! Don’t worry you aren’t the only one who has a thousand ships sailing around in their heart. This was so hard for me to choose but these are my Top Five Ships!

Who are your favourite pairs?

  1. Will and Tessa: Wessa!
Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset
Ahaha! Everyone probably will expect me to say this but honestly, Will and Tessa are like my favourite ship and I am definitely sure that this is my number one pairing. Will Herondale is perfect- he is blue eyes, a mysterious, yet caring personality and he just went through so much to save Tessa. *Puts in the heart emoji eyes five hundred times* It actually makes my heart flutter, whenever I re-read Will and Tessa moments. Imagine if I can’t ever find someone like Will! I can’t even go there, just like Jace once said, “Some things are too unlikely to dwell upon,” Seriously, though, I actually will die alone if I can’t find a Will. (Save me!)

“Life is a book, and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read, I would read them together with you, as many as I can before I die…”
    – Will Herondale; Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Princess

  2.  Percy and Annabeth: Percabeth
One of the very first ships I had, Percy and Annabeth will always be one of my favourite ships! I mean who else doesn’t ship this cute pair? Percy is the “Seaweed brain”, whilst Annabeth is the “Wise Girl,” They have been through so much and whenever I think of them I always am reminded of Callie Calet’s song, “Lucky” (Ahaha! Yes, everything reminds me of a song)! Not only that but it is actually my dream to fall in love with a boy because they have been my best friend, I actually think that falling in love like that is so cute!

” The rivalry ends here, I love you, Wise Girl,”
– Percy Jackson, Rick Riordan

  1. Kat and Daemon: Lux
Lux. How could I not mention Lux? Kat and Daemon are just the cutest pairing and they are, honestly,  #relationshipgoals! If I  ever find a boyfriend like Daemon, I would die happy! No seriously, they always have the cutest moments and I love their little witty comeback fights! I am one of those readers who constantly whips out their phone in public to re-read their favourite moments in all my ebooks and I always come back to the Lux series to re-read their moments because (this is going to sound weird but…) they always make me smile.

“Did you think you could stop me? I’ll burn the whole world down to save her,”
    – Daemon Black, Jennifer L. Armentrout Lux Series

  2. Rose and Dimitri: Vampire Academy
    FullSizeRender (3)
Vampire Academy is so good and there was no way I couldn’t give this honourable mention of my favourite #ships to Rose and Dimitri! (#ROMITRI) I honestly love these two as a couple because Dimitri is the zen everyone needs in their life! Not only that but Rose was a character I looked up too and just seeing the two together clenches my heart! I haven’t read this book since the start of last year but I do remember loving their adventures! I have too many favourite moments but I think this one is a pretty good quote! (Seriously Dimitri deserves an actual award!

“If I let myself love you, I won’t throw myself in front of her, I’ll throw myself in front of you,”
– Dimitri Belikov, Richelle Mead Vampire Academy

  1. Shahrzad and Khalid: The Wrath and The Dawn
I couldn’t choose for my last ship but I do love this pairing- Shahrzad and Khalid! What I really like about these two is the way their relationship developed, it was cliche yet unique in its own way. Shahrzad was the one who truly discovered who Khalid was and the fact that Khalid has been through so much just breaks my heart. I can’t wait for the next book! This books honestly needs more readers! Have you read this book yet?

“So I write it in the sky- I love you, a thousand times over. And I will never apologize for it,”
– Khalid, Renee Adeieh Wrath and The Dawn

I hope you guys loved this post and like me completely fangirled whilst re-reading these moments! These ships will probably be my #ships for a very long time! Who do you guys ship?

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!

12 Days Of Christmas Book Tag

Sadly, Christmas is ending but before it completely comes to a close, I was tagged by Calliope at The Book Goddess! You should definitely check out her blog because she is the sweetest person and her posts are great! (Thank you so much for tagging me, Calliope). For this tag you have to match a book or series to one of the lines in the famous Christmas carol, “12 Days of Christmas” and then I must tag five other book bloggers. Let’s begin with the first line:

“On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me- a Partridge in a pear tree.”
The Partridge stood alone in the pear tree, what is your favourite stand-alone:
This is extremely hard because, I have so many favourites! However, one of my most favourite stand-alone is All The Bright Places by Jennifer Nirven!

“On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- two turtle doves,”
Love is in the air, who is your one true pairing?
At the moment, I am currently re-reading Lux. It isn’t a surprise my one true pairing at the moment is… Kat and Daemon from the Lux Saga by Jennifer L. Armentrout!

“On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- three French hens,”
In the spirit of threes, what is your favourite trilogy?
I love trilogies because they tend to not drag along and are usually written so well but my favourite trilogy, without a doubt will have to be The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare!

“On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- four calling birds,”
Series usually consists of four or more books, what is your favourite series?
You mean a series other than Lux? Hahaha, just joking! Other than Lux my favourite series would have to be Heroes of Olympus or maybe The Mortal Instruments! I can’t decide!
“On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- five golden rings,”
One ring to rule them all, who is your favourite villain/antagonist?

I tend to hate all villains, but I do love Khalid in Wrath and The Dawn. Despite the fact that he is confusingly a “good guy”, he is also partly a villain and he is my favourite villain

“On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- six geese a laying,”
Creation is a beautiful thing, what is your favourite world?
The Darkest Minds, has such an intricate world and even if I haven’t finished the series yet, I love how much detail Alexandra Bracken put into this book!

“On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- seven swans a swimming,”
Who needs seven swans when it only takes one animal to make a great sidekick, Who’s your favourite animal sidekick?
Does Grover count as an animal sidekick? Grover from The Percy Jackson and The Olympians series is one of the first animal sidekicks that pop into my head!

“On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- eight maids a milking,”
Milk is so 18th century, which books or series take food to a whole new level?
This is such a weird one, I haven’t read a book that solely focussed on food but I’ll choose a novel which includes a food in the title- L.A Candy!

“On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- nine ladies dancing,”
These ladies must be great at dancing, who is your favourite female lead?
Rose Hathaway from The Vampire Academy series will always be one of my favourite female leads because as I have mentioned many times before, Rose is so loyal and courageous and I honestly look up to her!

“On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- ten lords a leaping,”
How about your favourite leading lord (male)?
Now, this is getting way too hard! My favourite leading male would have to be Daemon Black and Will Herondale. I don’t really think an explanation is needed, if you have read the two series that they are from but if you haven’t I can tell you now that they are both descriptions of perfect boys! 🙂

“On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- eleven pipes pipping,”
What is your favourite book, with a major musical influence?
Toxic by Rachel Van Dyken has a music theme within the novel and despite, the bad writing the story within it had a sad storyline and I really enjoyed reading this novel!

“On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me- twelve drummers drumming,”
Drum roll please, what is your favourite read this year?
Please don’t make me choose!!!! 🙂 However, I did just finish Oblivion a few days ago and can I get a “Hallelujah!” for this novel because I absolutely loved it!
Here are the five bloggers I nominate:
L.A Book Dreamer
The Ambivert 123
A Fangirl’s Opinion
Books and Cleverness
Sunshine Craver

Thanks guys! That’s all for the tag! I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a great new year!

🎄Christmas TBR List🎄

Happy Christmas, Everyone!!!!!

Since Christmas is coming soon, I compiled a short TBR list of books I’m going to try and read this holiday! I never end up following my TBR list (Does anyone else?) as I usually stray and somehow find another book that I want to read but here are some books I am going to try a read this holiday!

  1. Mistletoe & Mr Right by Lyla Payne
A cute Christmas contemporary to put me in the perfect Christmas mood! Mistletoe & Mr Right is a compilation of two short Christmas romances written by Lyla Payne! The first one is called Mistletoe and Mr Right and the second one is called Sleighbells and Second Chances. The minute this book arrived on my doorstep, I couldn’t help myself and I delved straight in because I was looking for a cute romance. I’m halfway through the first story and it is honestly so cute! It has definitely put me in the Christmas joy! I’ll save my thoughts for the review!
  2. How To Be Bad by E.Lockhart, Sarah Mylnowski & Lauren Myracle
To be honest, I am not a big fan of co-written novels as they often are choppy and never flow through a smooth progression but I decided to give this novel a go! It is about three teenage girls who leave their mundane town for a temporary “break”. I loved We Were Liars by E. Lockhart and the summary of this novel definitely intrigued me. Hopefully, it will be unique and different but I am definitely excited to start this novel.
  3. Oblivion by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Hello??? Daemon goodness in one book filled with over 1000 pages, I would probably be the first to sign up :)! I just downloaded the book, I know I’m 14 days late but I’ve been savouring and saving it for the perfect day! If you didn’t know already, Oblivion is a novella to the Lux series and its pretty much a compiled story of the whole Lux series written in Daemon’s point of view!
  4. The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley
I recently got this series sent to me and I am pretty excited to start it! It’s based around seven sisters who are all adopted. One day their father dies and Maia, the oldest one, finds clues which will lead her to her past. I’ll definitely write a review on this novel! I’ve already started the first few chapters and its really enjoyable! If you have read this novel tell me your thoughts below!
  5. None Of The Above by I.W. Gregorio
None Of The Above is a powerful contemporary novel which recently came out. It’s unique storyline has captured readers. I’ve heard lots of little chit chat about this novel and when it turned up displayed in the library with it’s eye-catching title, I decided to pick it up!

I definitely need to start my reading pace back up again, as I have had a chugging reading slump. The novel I’m reading now, Mistletoe and Mr. Right has definitely kick-started my reading back again! I can’t wait to get around to Oblivion and hopefully I’ll end up ticking these books and more on my TBR list! Christmas is coming (has anyone noticed the falling snow on my blog 🙂 ) and I can’t wait to do some comforting holiday reading!

Merry Christmas🎅

❤Emoji Tag❤

Hey Guys!

This is another fun little tag, that seemed like a lot of fun and I decided to try it out! I was nominated by The Lit Mermaid to do this tag (Thank you so much!) and if you haven’t checked her blog out you are seriously missing out because it is a truly amazing blog, that you won’t regret checking out!

For this tag you have to choose five of your most used or recent emojis and pair them up with a book:

Heart = The Infernal Devices
   Finish 1
If you have been on my blog a lot, you would know that I love the red heart emoji and so it mustn’t be a surprise that my most used emoji is a heart. I decided to pair up my favorite series to my favorite emoji and that series will have to be The Infernal Devices. I absolutely love this series and I swear I use this series for every tag, but that doesn’t matter because this series deserve lots of praise!

  Laughing Crying = Lux
This is another popular books in my tag posts but I can’t help that I love this book so much. This books always makes me laugh so hard that I could probably start crying and  so, it is a perfect fit for one of my favorite emojis! This book has so many jokes and witty lines that I guarantee will crack someone, even if they don’t laugh a lot!

Heart-Eyed Emoji = Angelfall
finish 3
I recently finished the Angelfall series and it was so good! I really needed your typical cliche “angelic fantasy” and this book really delivered that to me! The heart-eyes really convey my feelings and emotions about this book. Raffe. Raffe deserves all the heart-eyed emojis I can give! I highly recommend this book, if you are hesitant to pick it up because it seriously won’t disappoint! A review will be coming soon!

Hysterically-Crying Emoji = Eleanor and Park
This book deserves a crying emoji because I cried an awful lot for this book. I am a sensitive person and have a list of books, which made me cry. This book really stood out to me because I vividly remember using tissue after tissue, once I finished this book. If you are looking for a book that will make you cry… a lot, you need to pick up this book because you will cry a river as big as the Nile!

Heart Kissy Face = Anna and The French Kiss
finish 4
Whenever someone mentions Anna and The French Kiss, the first thing I think of is romance and Paris. The heart-kissy face definitely has this young, parisian romance vibe, which is why I chose Anna and The French Kiss. All Stephanie Perkin’s novels are reminiscent and they leave you with this longing for a love-story as perfect as the ones she writes. Anna and The French Kiss, by far, is my favorite and if you haven’t read this, don’t be fooled by the name, it is a perfect read for contemporary enthusiasts!

That’s all for this Emoji Tag! I know I haven’t been posting a lot of reviews and I lot will be coming up in the future and a “currently-reading” post! What is your favorite emoji and what is a book that remind you of that emoji?

Here are five people I nominate:

Pretty Doesome Books

Liebster Award #5

Woo! Hoo! Hello Guys!!!

This is another Liebster Award and I was nominated by Analee from Book Snacks. She is one of the nicest bloggers and I highly recommend her blog. She posts book reviews and other fun book stuff. Go check her out! This Liebster Award is a bit different to the normal one. I’ll be answering 11 questions, sharing 11 facts and I’ll be nominating and writing 11 even questions for 11 other bloggers! For this award I nominate anyone who want to do this award.

  1. What is your favourite book-to-film adaptation OR what is a book/series you would like to see as a movie?
I loved The Fault In Our Stars because I think it really stayed true the book and I loved Vampire Academy! I think if you loved the Vampire Academy series you would love the movie but if you haven’t read it the movie won’t be as appealing.
  2. If you could jump into any bookish world, where would it be? Why?
This is a really hard question because I think about it all the time but every time I have a different answer. Lately, I have been thinking about the Shadowhunter-world  and I think that it would be a great bookish world to jump into. Who wouldn’t want to be a Shadowhunter?:)
  3. Who is your favourite author and why? (You can name more than one if you want.)
I don’t really have a specific favorite author but I love Jennifer L. Armentrout books, so i guess you could say she is my favorite. I love her storylines as they are cheesy yet action-filled and witty. Cassandra Clare is also high up on my list of favorite authors as I love any of the Shadowhunter Chronicle novels, which were one of the first Young-Adult novels which I have read.
  4. What is your most prized book?
I like to think that all of my books are prized possessions but one of my most special novels on my bookshelf is definitely Percy Jackson and The Greek Gods. The cover is so beautifully designed and it’s hardback. It is no surprise that it is one of my most prized books.
  5. What character from a book would you like to meet, and why?
This is a really hard question… but if I could meet a character I think meeting Daemon (Lux Saga) would be amazing but I would love to meet Patch (Hush Hush Saga) and Will (The Infernal Devices). If I ever got to meet them I would probably faint! 🙂
  6. What is/are your favourite quote(s)?
I actually have a post about this here! But I am planning on writing an updated one of these posts because I love quotes. My all time favorite quotes are:
” There is plenty of sense in nonsense sometimes, if you wish to look for it, ” ~Cassandra Clare
“Thomas Edison’s last words were, “It’s very beautiful over there,” I don’t know where there is but I believe it’s somewhere and I hope it’s beautiful” ~ John Green
  7. What quality do you appreciate in a character?
Persistence, loyalty, courage and confidence. I believe these are really important qualities in life and I love it when characters are so brave, persistent and confidence. For example, Rose(Vampire Academy) who I really look up to is so brave no matter what even if her loved ones are evil, she would do whatever she can to save them.
  8. What are three books you can’t live without?
This is another tricky questions because I love so many books but I think three books I couldn’t live without are Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout and Mark of Athena by Rick Riodan.
  9. What places would you like to visit and why?
I think I have answered a question like this before but I would love to backpack around Europe. This has always been my dream. I want to backpack with someone all around Europe without a particular destination, to just wander the streets of London, swim in the seas of Greece and eat authentic Italian food.
  10. Who is someone you consider a hero?
There are many young-adult heroines who I consider as a hero. Tris Prior (Divergent) is someone I really look up to because of her selflessness. I want to be as loyal as she is to her family and friends. Rose Hathaway (Vampire Academy) is someone I have considered a series since I’ve read the series because I love how feminine yet strong she is. She isn’t a really unfeminine heroine but she is still capable of so many things. Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson) is someone I have always respected since I read the series when I was really young.
  11. What do you think are your best qualities?
Ummmm 🙂 I think one of my best qualities is my positivity and kindness. I have grown up in an era where teenagers are really submerged in positive things (tumblr and youtube) and I have always tried to make light of dark situations. I always want to help people because I think a small smile can light someone’s day so I always try to be happy because it really rubs off on people.

My Eleven Questions:
1) What is a novel you recommend to people who are not into young-adult novels?
2) Who is an evil character you somehow love?
3) What is a novel you thought you would hate but ended up loving?
4) What is an overhyped novel you do not like?
5) If you could live the life of a character for a day, who would you chose?
6) What is your favorite contemporary novel?
7) What is your most anticipated novel of 2015?
8) Do you prefer bookstores or libraries?
9) What are you currently reading and what do you plan on reading next?
10) What is an object you need by your side when you are reading?

That’s all for this award and as I said before I nominate anyone who wants to do this award! Thank you!

Book News- 12/04/15

Hey Guys!

There have been quite a few exciting things! Just as a blog update I’ll be writing two new reviews and as you may have noted there have been a new change to the layout of my blog- hope you guys like it.

Jennifer L. Armentrout’s novella to the Lux series, Oblivion, has a new snippet released:

Also, Every Last Breathe received a cover reveal and plot synopsis! The whole Dark Elements series’ covers are being revamped, which I am so grateful for because I hated the previous covers. There will most likely be a #mythoughts on that soon! Check out the cover and synopsis here at: http://www.jenniferarmentrout.com/every-last-breath/

A new scene of the Paper Towns movie will be released tomorrow at the MTV awards! Cara, Nat and John Green will be there to release it! The trailer for Theo James’ new movie with Dakota Fanning, Franny, was released.

That’s all this week on book news!

Liebster Award!

So, I have been nominated for the Liebster Award. This is the first time in my whole life and I want to thank Lulu’s Rants and Reads. It is a chain award where I answer eleven questions written by Lulu and then I make eleven more questions and nominated eleven others! However, I’ll only be nominating four others!

1.Do you have a favorite reading spot? If so, where at and why?
I love reading at my school library and I know it sounds kind of weird and cliche but I love it. Sometimes our English teacher gives us a period after a major exam or an assignment to read at the school library. It’s quiet and there is this really cool nook where my friends and I read a have small little chats!

2. If you had a chance to meet an author right now, who would it be?
If I had a chance to meet an author it right now it would probably be Cassandra Clare because I love her books so much especially The Infernal Devices!

3. Which book is the most worn out on your bookshelf?
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, this book is so worn out my mom had to make a dust cover for it. I got this book in grade two and it is one of the oldest book on my shelf. It brings me so many good memories so it sits on my favourite books shelf!

4. Hardback or paperback?
Hardback, because it is so much better quality and I love the feeling of the hard cover!

5. What is the worst book you’ve read in the past month?
My school book, Nanberry Black Brother White. It was so boring and it was historical fiction. The author, Jackie French put so many facts into every crack and crevice of the book. Typical school-assigned book

6. If you could be best friends with any fictional character, who would it be?
This is a pretty hard question but I would probably chose Katy Swartz from Lux or Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy. I chose Katy because I could fangirl with her over fictional boys and it would be so much fun. I chose Rose because I really admire her bravery and I love her attitude, besides who wouldn’t want Rose as a best friend.

7. About how many books do you currently own? How many have you actually read?
I have about 50 books and I have read all of them except for the Knife of Never Letting Go. I am in the middle of You are Not So Smart, Darkest Minds and Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods. I borrow a lot of the books from the library as well.

8. If you could be any character, who would it be?
Rose Hathaway because like I said before I really admire her bravery and her attitude.

9. What genre do you read the most?
This is hard but probably romance and action/thriller kind of genre. For example Lux which is a romance and action book series and The Infernal Devices. I really enjoy reading books from this genre and I have read a lot of these books.

10. What’s your favorite part of going to a bookstore?
My favorite part of going to the bookstore is buying books and watching others pick up and enjoy the books I’ve read before.

11. What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken!

Now for my eleven questions:
1. What book, in your opinion, has the prettiest and most beautiful cover?
2. Would you rather only read books from your favorite genre or only read books from other genres than your favorite genre?
3. Which book has shaped and inspired you the most?
4. What is your favorite quote and from what book is it from?
5. If you could chose any fictional character to marry who would it be?
6. What is one piece of writing advice you would give someone?
7. Which faction do you think you belong to or do you think you are divergent?
8. Most anticipated book of next year?
9. Most anticipated Book to Movie adaptation?
10. Who is your favorite fanartist?
11. Who is your parabatai- book buddy?

Now for the nominations! I nominate:
Artemis Skadi

Call Me Percy

The Pages Turn

Brooke’s Bibliophilic Babblings

Thank you guys! So much!

Lux Saga Review- 9/10

This book is one of my favorite series and I will never get sick of it! I am so excited for the movie. If you like action, romance, sass and extremely hot fictional boys this book is definitely the one for you! I was always laughing! There are aliens but trust me it is a great book that is exactly like a roller coaster. I did not want this amazing series to end! All the characters are so loveable! I rate this book a 9/10 and I do not rate most of my books at this high standard! Review- This review WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS, so from now on if you are planning on reading this series do not read on. Obsidian: This book hooked me in from the beginning. When Katy and Daemon had their first conversation, I  knew immediately that I was going to love this series. The last scene where Daemon healed Katy was definitely one of my favorites and I also loved the scene where Daemon was the blog model and of course, the lake scene. One of the funniest scenes was when they had to work out in order to get rid off the glow around Katy. Onyx- I loved every attempt Daemon tried, in order to make Katy be his Girlfriend! I loved the cookie scene in the beginning! I despised Blake and Daemon was being so protective- it was so cute! When Dawson came back, it was so intense! Opal- This book had so many Katy and Daemon scenes. I hated the cliff hanger! I was surprised to find out that Will was evil. I felt sorry for Dee and how she despised Katy because of Adam’s death. Origin: This is one of my favorites out of the whole series. It was awesome when Daemon saved Katy. I loved the whole twist with the origin babies. Archer was so clueless. The Las Vegas Wedding was very cute. I loved the whole intense fighting scene at the end, I didn’t see the deaths scenes coming. And yet again there was another cliffhanger. Opposition- The last book in a great series- This book was great, there were so many pop references in this book. My favorite has to be: “We could really use the Avengers right now, screw that we need Loki,” I loved the whole Arum thing, where the ruler played a prank on Daemon and Katy. I burst out laughing. The ending was so cute; Brittany and Dawson’s child, the happy ending with Katy and Daemon and Dee and Archer! If you haven’t already, check out the extra epilogue Jennifer L. Armentrout posted. She truly is a good author and I really admire her work!
