There have been quite a few exciting things! Just as a blog update I’ll be writing two new reviews and as you may have noted there have been a new change to the layout of my blog- hope you guys like it.
Jennifer L. Armentrout’s novella to the Lux series, Oblivion, has a new snippet released:
Also, Every Last Breathe received a cover reveal and plot synopsis! The whole Dark Elements series’ covers are being revamped, which I am so grateful for because I hated the previous covers. There will most likely be a #mythoughts on that soon! Check out the cover and synopsis here at: http://www.jenniferarmentrout.com/every-last-breath/
A new scene of the Paper Towns movie will be released tomorrow at the MTV awards! Cara, Nat and John Green will be there to release it! The trailer for Theo James’ new movie with Dakota Fanning, Franny, was released.
I thought it would be a fun idea to tell you my five favorite fictional boyfriends because we all have a favorite fictional boy in our hearts. All these boys will be from books, so, nothing from TV Shows or Movies. These aren’t in order but Daemon and Roth are now my #1 favorite boys. (Warning: There are certain spoilers for each character)
1) Daemon Black from the Lux Series
Can we get a hallelujah for this guy! This is a no brainer. Who doesn’t think that Daemon Black is boyfriend goals? He is funny, hot and strong. He is so nice to Kat and just, ahhhhh!! He is so perfect! There are pretty much no flaws with Daemon Black. I love how he calls Kat kitten, it’s the cutest thing, I can’t wait for Oblivion- more Daemon goodness!
2) Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices
This guy was one of my first fictional boyfriends and he still is. He has a huge love for reading, which is so cute and he sacrifices so much for Tessa. My heart was breaking when he tells Tessa the truth but she was already proposed to Jem. He may seem dark, arrogant and cold-hearted in the beginning but then you see the cracks and discover that he actually is really loving.
3) Roth from The Dark Elements Series
OMG! I am freaking out for the last book and by just mentioning Roth, I am literally screaming. He drives a silver porsche. Who doesn’t want that? He is the prince of hell and like Will, he sacrifices so much for Layla. He jumped into the fiery pits and he pushed her away to save her. He is perfect, like Daemon, which is probably why he is equal first on my list with Daemon
4) Jace from The Mortal Instruments
He was my second fictional boyfriend. I’ve loved him since I read the series. Pretty much any Herondale is amazing. He is just really nice and I really like seeing the sensitive side. He is sarcastic and just so protective of Clary. I think he would be a perfect boyfriend. If only he was real.
5) Percy Jackson from The Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus Series
He is the cutest. I loved him since I read the book, ages ago. I love how protective he is of his friends and family. He is so clumsy but so strong. He can control the water, which is so cool. I ship Percabeth so hard and Percy is such a cute boyfriend.
These are my top five fictional boyfriend list! I might do more of these top-five lists. Tell me your fictional boyfriends in the comments below:
Hey!! If you didn’t know already from the hundred million times I’ve said this, Lux by Jennifer L. Armentrout is my all time favorite series. If you haven’t read this I don’t know what you are doing but if you are hesitant to read this amazing series here are ten spoiler-free reasons to read lux:
One Name: DAEMONNNNNNNN!! Oh My God. This guy is will be one of the hottest and amazing fictional characters you will ever read. Daemon is lovable, good-looking and funny.
“Daemon Black could be as prickly as a hedgehog having a really bad day, but underneath all that spindly armor, he was sweet, protective, and incredibly selfless.”
This book is filled to the brim with hilarious jokes and witty comebacks. I have never laughed out loud as much as I did with this book. I was laughing every single day and people around me were staring at me like I was crazy. Whenever I’m feeling down I pick up Lux and spontaneously smile and laugh.
“Out of all the paranormal books I’d read and reviewed, no one glowed like this. Some glittered in the light. Others had wings. No one was a freaking giant sun.”
No matter what, I can guarantee that you will binge-read this series and you are eyes will be glued ,with extra strong-glue, to the book. At the time I read this four-book series in a week and the last book in two days. It is so exciting that you will want to keep turning the page.
“In your dreams, Kitten.” He smirked. “Oh wait, I’m already starring in those, aren’t I?”
I rolled my eyes.
“Nightmares, Daemon. Nightmares.”
It is action-packed!!!! This book packs a punch for action and there is always some fight going on. I don’t want to spoil to much but ,trust me on this one, there is a lot of running, escaping and fighting.
“It was like being in a real, albeit messed-up, version of “The Hunger Games”
“The Hunger Games” for alien hybrids.”
There are many references to teenage pop culture. As you can see from the quote above there are references to the Hunger Games but there are also reference to Harry Potter, some young-adult books and movies.
“We could really use the Avengers right now. Screw that we need Loki,”
Katy is really relatable. When we read about book-lovers in book they often like really old books like classics and Stephen King but Katy is exactly like the typical fangirl-teenager. She runs a blog and loves young-adult books.
“Daemon: I checked out your blog.
Katy: Stalking me again, I see. Do I need to get a restraining order?
Plot Twist Glory!! If you are like me and love a good plot twist, this book has your back. Starting from the third book it’s like plot twist after plot twist after plot twist.
It is a great recommendation for friends. If your friends aren’t into reading, by reading this series they will fall straight in love.
The world building is amazing!! The world is so complicated and designed so well. When you read it you feel like you have been specially chosen to see the world!
It isn’t very very popular and by reading this you are creating a bigger fanbase.
So if that still didn’t convince you to read Lux, I don’t know what will! I’ve convinced so many people in my year level to read Lux and since then it’s been spreading like wild-fire. I haven’t really met anyone who was disappointed by it and trust me, it isn’t a let down.
