*awkward wave* I have not talked to you guys in ages (two months to be exact) and I’ve missed you guys so much! I can try searching for an excuse (school, no time…) but the truth remains that I have been neglecting this blog, which is the last thing I wanted because my blog is the OG and holds a huge significance in my heart. I’ve missed the “tap tap” of the keys on my keyboard and the sharing of my thoughts. I’ve set a goal: I’m going to try with all my effort and time to go full force on By Alicia Grace because my blog means everything to me! I’m still dusting off the ashes from the ground- cleaning up my Instagram, talking with you guys more and changing little elements of my blog but I am more determined than ever to fix-up my blog. I thought we would start off with something simple: my new favourites.
Polaroids + Instax
Taking polaroids have been one of my favourite things. I love the sentimental value of each little photo. I try my best to take polaroids which capture some of my favourite moments. Each photo turns out with a vintage filter, a grungy hazy tint: much like a memory and as cheesy as that sounds, its why I love polaroids so much! Under each circumstance, every Polaroid looks pretty and artsy! I’ve been making a little polaroid wall and I hope to fill it with more photos!
Artsy Bullet Journal Spreads
I was always more of a minimalist bullet journal person but after spending time on bullet journal Instagrams and Tumblrs, I couldn’t help but be influenced by their spreads! I fell in love with the artsy-side of bullet journaling, which consists of a smorgasbord of colours, tints, doodles, photos, washi-tape and quotes. I call it the borderline between scrapbooking and bullet journaling. Piecing each of my weekly spreads is my little calming hour of the week: it gives me such a great sense of mindfulness, satisfaction and organisation. Spending thirty minutes each week on it gives me a good study break, whilst still doing something productive!
Yes…you read that correctly. Studying languages have been a really big hobby of mine! I love being exposed to different languages and learning them! I’ve been learning German and Chinese for a while now but I never had a huge spark of interest in the languages. However, lately, I’ve been addicted to learning the two. The sense of achievement I feel when I become more fluent when conversing with other native speakers or when I can understand a TV show in my target language is exhilarating.

I’ve been trying to go outside more often. Bike riding has been one of my new favourite things! I love cycling with one of my friends to the park and having a good picnic or a good talk along the way! The weather has been really supporting outdoor activities and I love it. I’ve also been hiking a lot, which is always fun!

If you have been following me on Instagram (@hashtaglovebook.alicia) you would have probably seen my latest obsession with bullet journaling. I adore it! Every week whenever I can find five minutes for me to journal, I will seize the chance. There is just something so satisfying and calming about creating a personalised planner and organising your upcoming weeks and months.
I honestly can’t believe it already is December, this year has been a whirlwind of adventures and it has flashed before my eyes. Since it is nearing the end of November, I decided to draw up my monthly bullet journal for December. I filmed a little quick montage of a most of my planning. (I realised I wasn’t recording the last part of it so I don’t have all of the footage 🙂 ) I also am going to show you some of my stationary I use for my bullet journal as well!

I haven’t talked to you guys in what feels like ages and I am so very sorry! I had exams and the school year was overwhelming filled with back to back activities and I couldn’t find the time to sit down and blog about my life.
Anyway because I have only just gotten back into reading because of a busy few months, I decided to post something a bit more “lifestyle” like. I was thinking about things I have done lately and there are a few things changes and habits I’ve begun to hopefully make me a happier, healthier and more motivated person. I felt like there were just somethings this year that have left me with a lot of negativity and bad vibes. However I want to change that before 2017 years so I can make 2017 the best year. I thought I would just shre these things with you in this post!
What are somethings you do to make you a healthier, happier and more motivated person?
Never in a million years would I have imagined myself spending the time every week to bullet journal but I do not regret starting this habit. I love bullet journal- it is not only calming but gives you a sense of achievement. There is just something about sitting down and planning what is coming up, what you have done in the past week and organising your daily habits and goals. I love how bullet journalling is not just like a diary you can personalise it to suit you and it also is a way to shine your personality. The satisfaction you get from flicking through your journal is indescribable. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep this habit until next year!
we heart it
I know you must be thinking:How is We Heart It supposed to make you a more motivated person? but hear me out. I love hearting photos that just make me happy. There are so many photos out there on we heart it that leave you with a since of wanderlust, excitement, adventure and pleasure. Keeping the photos you like on a canvas makes it easier for you to look back on them and realise the goals you want in your life. The photos I all heart are things and ideas I want to be able to tick off my bucket list and taking the time to heart these photos every day makes me a more motivated person.
I recently found this youtube channel called Motivation Grid and I am addicted to their videos. Usually I hate cheesy videos and articles but these videos are magic they leave you with this really great sense of determination that makes you feel like you can conquer anything. If I ever feel down or in need for motivation I will watch on of these videos! If you ever find the time to watch a good video you have to check out this youtube channel.
elevate brain training
Elevate brain training is basically this app that enables you to train your brain every day with three fun mini games. I love using this everday because not only does it leave you with a sense of satisfaction you also get to play a bunch of mini games whilst training your brain. I know the science behind daily brain training is controversial but I guess there is no harm in trying it out. Its free and easy to join as well!
