I found this super fun meme on The Hardcover Lover, called Soundtrack Saturdays! This will be a bit different to the meme on The Hardcover Lover but I thought I would just mention, that this meme will be based on hers. I’ll posting this every Sunday and therefore, it will be called Soundtrack Sundays! Soundtrack Sundays, is where I’ll pick a book that I love or have read recently and I’ll devise a four to five song playlist based on these guidelines:
❤ Include a song that you think goes well with the beginning of your chosen book
❤ Include a song you think fits the main character in your chosen book
❤ Include a song you think fits the evil character in your chosen book (This is a little something else I added)
❤ Include a song that represents a relationship in your chosen book
❤ Include a song that fits the ending of the book
If you have to know anything about me, it has to be the fact that I absolutely love music. From Shawn Mendes to Selena Gomez (Yes, they are both my favourite artists at the moment), I love anything that is pop or hit music. I think that it’s safe to say that most of the songs I’ll choose are the popular songs on the radio! 🙂 What’s your favourite song or who is your favourite artist at the moment? I would love to know! I don’t know if I’ll be doing this every week, but hopefully, I’ll do it again soon!
Today I’ll be choosing the Percy Jackson series:
Here is my playlist, which you guys can listen to :)!
Here are some reasons for my song choices, they may include spoilers for the series:
1) Never Forget You by Zara Larason and MNEK
I chose this song to represent Percabeth (#relationshipgoals!) because even when Percy lost his memory he still remembered Annabeth!
2) Drag Me Down by One Direction
No, I’m not a major One Direction lover who has their faces plastered everywhere. To be honest, this was actually the first song I truly enjoyed from them! I think it pretty much encapsulates the ending of the series because nobody could drag the ArgoII crew down! 🙂
3) The Trouble With Us by Marcus Marr and Chet Faker
This song symbolizes Kronos and Gaea because they really were lots of trouble but not only that, the gods are major troublemakers, which pretty much causes an overload of problems in the series!
4) My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark by Fall Out Boy
This song represents the start of the book because after the Minotaur had captured/killed Percy’s mother. His fire was lit and it was definitely, “Lighting him up,”
5) Stressed Out by 21 Pilots
I chose this song because Percy Jackson’s life was so simple before the books and then suddenly, his life was “stressed-out” after meeting and discovering the Greek Mythology world!
I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for lots of exciting new posts, which will be coming out soon! What songs do you think represent Percy Jackson?
